We are committed to
Sustainability in Cornwall
What we do
Reducing our impact
The Club is diverse in its facilities and products it has to offer and is committed to reducing the impact we have on our environment. We aspire to be at the forefront of our business strategy.
Water Supply
We have our own water supply and treatment plant. This makes us self-sufficient and able to supply quality water with little environmental impact.
Our Lighting
We use low-energy LED light fittings and have installed sensor lighting in low-use areas. We continually monitor our energy levels.
Recycling
We recycle our plastic, cardboard, tins, aluminium, bottles, newspapers and cooking oil and use a zero to landfill waste company. We encourage our guests to recycle in the apartments.
Locally Sourced
Sourced Close to Home
The Club have been utilising local farmers and suppliers for many years. Wherever possible we source our supplies from local producers and work to cut out our over-packaging.
EV Charging Points
New charging points are currently being installed to reduce our members’ and guests’ carbon footprint while maintaining clean mobility options.
Energy Efficient
We continue to invest in energy-efficient solutions including LED lighting, modern HVAC systems, and combined irrigation systems with a weather platform for enhanced efficiency.
Wildlife Trust
We work with The Cornwall Wildlife Trust and the RSPB to preserve our 180 acres of natural habitat while supporting local biodiversity conservation efforts.
Healthy Living
Stay Active
As a leading health club facility we actively encourage members toward a healthier lifestyle, with professional trainers and nutritionists providing expert guidance.
Solar Panels
We have a 50-panel solar energy array capturing renewable energy at its most efficient, reducing our carbon footprint significantly throughout the year.
Green Team
We have an in-house Green Team who are responsible for a habitat restoration and management project. We are proud to support 65,000 bees across the county.
Tree Planting
We are proud to have supported the Queen’s Green Canopy initiative and have successfully planted numerous trees across our grounds to improve air quality and enhance the biodiversity of our local environment.
Wild Flowers
Supporting Biodiversity
We allow selected areas of the golf courses and grounds to develop wild flower seeds, enhancing biodiversity and providing habitats for essential pollinators.
Organic Products
We use 100% organic cleaning products on our Plant Spa – literacy from the Amala and Elemis ranges, supporting sustainable beauty practices.
Plastic Free Initiative
We are committed to eliminating single-use plastics across our facilities, partnering with sustainable suppliers and encouraging our members to join us in reducing plastic waste.
