Live. Better
Hello! I don’t know about you, but I think this year is flying by. One minute it’s winter and now, as the days are longer and warmer, we are enjoying spring and all the exciting things it brings!
Every time I come to the Club, it is great to see the trees and flowers in full bloom and hear the birds singing. So far this year I’ve seen wild bluebells, daffodils, herons, geese, swans and this month, a patch of rare Early Purple Orchids. I’ve been told that the ones we have growing wild at the Club are one of the largest groups in Cornwall, so we’ve been careful not to cut them when we’ve mowed the grass!
Of course, leaving nature to grow is just one thing we do at China Fleet to help our environment. The Club is totally committed to sustainability and always looking for ways to improve. Plus, we’re proud to work with the Cornwall Wildlife Trust and the RSPB.
Move
Did you know that walking outdoors increases your levels of serotonin, the body’s natural mood stabilizer because you expose yourself to sunshine. Serotonin helps reduce symptoms of depression and anxiety. Sunlight also increases your vitamin D intake, another mood enhancer. Why not take a walk in our grounds and as well as all these positive benefits, experience the wonderful wildlife we have at the Club for yourself! Our Woodland nature trail that runs alongside the Tamar Estuary is a great way to see even more wildlife and your 4 legged friends can join in the fun too!
