Hello, Debbie here from China Fleet and welcome to a rather romantic February blog!
Yes, February is of course the month of love with Valentine’s Day on the 14th. So this month, we thought we’d celebrate with a Valentine inspired ‘Blondie Sharing Box’ Competition from a local bakery in Saltash. Sophie and Leanne from The Blondie Bar have kindly given us a fantastic box of amazing sweet treats – perfect for sharing with a loved one!
Plus, if you’ve recently got engaged, you must come along to our Free Wedding Fair on Sunday 19th February 2023, 10.00am-1.00pm. You can explore and experience how your wedding day could look, see our rooms dressed for your big day and chat with suppliers. If you haven’t chosen your venue yet, this is the perfect opportunity to see what China Fleet Country Club can do for you. Our experienced and friendly wedding team will be on hand to discuss your big day.
Move
Love Handles!
What are love handles?
“Love handles” are excess fatty areas that sit on either side of the waist above the hips. The term “love handles” first appeared in the late 1960s. It refers to any weight that may have accumulated around the sides of an individual’s waist which many of us have at some point.
How to lose Love Handles?
While specifically targeting body fat reduction around the waist is not possible, a combination of cardio and also weightlifting may help with weight loss.
Studies have shown that interval-based exercise programs, most specifically high intensity interval training (HIIT), are more effective for burning off your love handles than steady state cardio.
Plus, it’s vital you also add specific exercises to really target those sides such as The Plank, Side Plank, Ab Crunches, Cycling Abs and Russian Twists. Or even better, try one of our exercise classes such as Les Mills Body Combat, Les Mills Body Pump or Les Mills Core, all of which have a mix of high intensity training and strength training. These classes are all available as instructor led or virtual classes, why not give one of them a go this month and see the difference they can make.
